The Power of the Transformed Life

HE IS…

He is the firstborn of all creation.

He is the source of all created things in heaven and earth, the seen and unseen.

He is before all things.

He is the one who holds it all together.

He is the head of the Church

He is the beginning.

He is the firstborn from the dead. (Colossians 1:15-18)

AND IN HIM…

And in Him, the fullness of God was pleased to dwell.

And in Him abides the life-giving source of reconciliation.

And in Him, we find transformation for our souls.

And in Him, we have hope filled with promise. (Colossians 1:19-24)

Jesus Christ is Lord over all creation, the promised reconciler between creation and the Creator. This central truth of our Christian faith is what our lives are built upon, what shapes our being.

Through Jesus’ reconciling power, transformation awaits.

We were once hostile toward God, acting wrongly. The power of the transformed life accessed through our reconciliation to Jesus offers us a new existence, one where we act rightly toward God, others, and the world.

This promised hope can be the reality of our lives. 

Have you journeyed on the path of reconciliation?

Will you answer the call from within you to follow the one who created you?

Love itself is moving towards you with an outstretched hand waiting for you to extend yours. 

Like Paul and the apostles like him, I urge you to say yes to the ongoing work of reconciliation that will transform us into the likeness of the God we worship. 

My prayer for my generation, and for the ones before and behind me, is that we remain steadfast and faithful to the truth. 

May it be said of us that we were faithful to receive God’s love AND be faithful witnesses of God’s love.
